About Starfish Bay Publishing

● Starfish Bay Publishing is an award-winning independent publishing house dedicated to imaginative and thought-provoking children’s picture books. Founded in Adelaide, Australia, in 2014, we have since published hundreds of titles that pair high-quality storytelling with outstanding illustration. Our aim has always been to capture a child’s imagination, sustain their curiosity, and inspire a lifelong love of reading—a philosophy that continues to guide us today.

● Our publishing house now includes three imprints:
Starfish Bay Children’s Books - this imprint was founded in 2014 and has published over 300 children's picture books
Tiny Seed Publishing - this imprint was founded in 2018 and has published nearly 200 children's picture books and board books.
Little Fern Publishing - this imprint was founded in 2025, and a dedicated website is currently in development and will launch soon.

● From January 2026, Starfish Bay will transition to a fully in-house sales and marketing team across all major markets—Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada,and the United Kingdom. By managing sales internally, we aim to build stronger relationships with wholesalers and retailers, expand promotional reach, and deliver greater royalty outcomes for our authors.

● To support this growth, we have also registered two new companies in the United States:
Little Fern Publishing LLC, our new US-based children’s publishing company headquartered in Portland, Oregon
Starfish Bay Publishing LLC, which will oversee sales and marketing for our titles across the United States and Canada

This marks an important milestone in our international strategy. Beginning in March 2026, all new books will be published simultaneously in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, and the UK, ensuring stronger global visibility for our authors and illustrators.
